Alimentavera GmbH
Based in Aarau, Switzerland, Alimentavera GmbH was founded in autumn 2010 with the aim of
creating a centre of expertise for labelling and marketability testing for food products. We focus on our core
business in order to provide high-quality services at reasonable prices.
Alimentavera employs experienced food engineers, food chemists and translators to carry out the orders we receive.
In addition to large and small enterprises in the food industry, Alimentavera provides its services to chain
stores in Switzerland and conducts tests for accredited laboratories at home and abroad on a subcontractual basis.
In the non-food segment, Alimentavera has been conducting tests into commodities (consumer goods, cosmetics, etc.),
cleaning agents, PET food products, fertilisers and biocides/pesticides since 2011.
Alimentavera has offered testing services for foodstuffs and non-food products for the entire EU area and other
countries since 2014
Accreditation
The Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) monitors the way in which Alimentavera is organised
and its activities in accordance with the European standard EN ISO/IEC 17020.
The scope of accreditation comprises labelling assessments and marketability tests in accordance with the Swiss
Food Law, Ordinance on the Labelling and Advertising of Foodstuffs, Ordinance on Foodstuffs
and Commodities and provisions based on these regulations, the Organic Farming Regulation and the
Mountain/Alpine Ordinance.
The activities carried out by the accreditation agency include the monitoring of administrative requirements,
independence, impartiality, integrity, confidentiality, organisation, executive management, quality management,
employed persons, facilities, inspection methods and procedural instructions, processing of customer materials
and records.
Alimentavera is the only private agency in Switzerland to carry out labelling assessments in accredited fields.
Voluntary accreditation enables the company to pursue its aim of providing the highest possible quality standards.
Tests in non-accredited fields are carried out according to exactly the same quality standards as tests in accredited
fields.
